Consumer fraud should be taken seriously. If not, you can loose all of your money, possessions and of course your identity. You'll have to pay for things you didn't buy, or loose things you did buy. You'll be pushed into debt and everything will just go downhill. All money you saved up will be gone. To protect yourself you should shred official documents, check credit reports and keep all of your information private. Don't carry around your Social Security Number and don't leave important things lying around.
